Communicate with STD State Director, Surveillance Program Manager and HIV Program Team Lead on provider packet. Produce written timelines on plan for provider packet completion. Present to supervisor status updates of provider packet process. Provide training to state of GA health departments, hospitals, private physicians, CBO’s and other health officials on provider reporting. Maintain positive relationships with key officials. Develop and compiled all training materials that are audience appropriate. Manage congenital syphilis cases for the state of Georgia (18 districts). Review cases submitted and notify worker and supervisor if any additional information or forms are needed before case closure. Electronically processes interstate and intrastate STD/HIV contacts and positive reactors using SendSS. Ensures all syphilis and HIV contacts have enough information (demographic, DOB, directions and/or description) to began investigation before releasing caller. Initiates all syphilis and HIV contacts within 4 hours of receipt. Call final disposition to initiating agency after 14 calendar days. All contacts not closed after 17 calendar days are submitted to for supervisor review. Ensures final dispositions are completed and all necessary information has been obtained. Ensures information given to districts is accurate and concise. Performs intrastate confidential records transmissions for local health districts and surveillance staff. Provides immediate responds to request where patients are currently in the clinic. Adheres to established polices on privacy and security requirements for compliance with HIPPA.
