Biographical Sketch:
Mr. Chambliss is CAI’s Director of Training. He has over 22 years experience developing and delivering training to providers and consumers on a wide array of topics, including HIV-related and peer educator training. Mr. Chambliss’ dynamic approach to training and building provider capacity has won him national acclaim and recognition as a leader in the field of professional training. Mr. Chambliss has been a lead trainer on two of CAI’s HRSA-funded national training and TA projects, the Integrating Peers as Essential Members of Multidisciplinary Teams and the Consumer Provider Partnership for Care. In addition to supervising training and insuring quality in CAI’s training delivery, he also provides TA to health and human service agencies and develops innovative curricula and materials in newly emerging fields. Mr. Chambliss is currently overseeing the design and “roll out” of several new training programs, including several on Public Health Strategies and Diffusion of Evidence-Based Interventions (DEBIs) from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Prior to joining CAI, Mr. Chambliss worked at The DOOR-A Center for Alternatives for 10+ years where he participated on an interdisciplinary team in treatment planning for the mental health of adolescents, conducted groups for young people in sexuality education and risk reduction, and counseled adolescents in health and psychosocial issues which included prevention counseling for HIV/AIDS & STDs, life skills and social development.
