Biographical Sketch:
Dawn Middleton is the Director of the DHHS Region II and Region IV Infertility Prevention Project. In this role she provides overall direction and management for the design and delivery of capacity building assistance to federally funded family planning agencies, STD bureaus and public health laboratories in promoting and supporting comprehensive efforts to address health disparities related to chlamydia and gonorrhea infection and promote STD-related health equity in New Jersey, New York, New York City, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida and Kentucky. She is also the Primary Investigator, Focus on the Future (FOF). In this role she provides oversight in the development of curriculum and tools and in the design and delivery of technical assistance to case study agencies to support implementation and integration of the FOF intervention into healthcare delivery systems. Ms. Middleton was the Family Planning Clinic Manager of Planned Parenthood of SEPA in Philadelphis, PA from 1992-1994. In this role she , provided oversight for operation of medical and non-medical procedures of comprehensive reproductive health center (annual budget $1.5M) including budget monitoring, program planning, facilities management and grant development.
