Biographical Sketch:
JSI, Denver, Colorado Project Coordinator, June 2010 to present Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Health Impact Assessment on the Future of the Infertility Prevention Program Provide logistical and formative research support with the intention of understanding the manners in which recently passed Healthcare Reform legislation will impact the Infertility Prevention Program (IPP), a national STD prevention program focusing on the reduction of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), Chlamydia and gonorrhea incidence and prevalence rates. Specific responsibilities include the development of toolkits to be used by multiple infrastructure heads across all 50 states, communicating and collaborating with state and local health departments, Family Planning and STD Clinics, and Public Health Laboratories, and collecting, managing, and analyzing complex data sets on a nationwide scale. A specific focus of the project surrounds the identification and reduction of regionally specific health related disparities. Indian Health Services Evaluation of Counseling, Testing and Referral Services among Urban Indian Health Centers Responsible for the coordination of thirteen individual site visits across nine states throughout the nation with various Urban Indian Health Centers with the purposes of collecting primary and secondary data surrounding HIV prevention activities funded by Indian Health Services. Also responsible for the development of data collection tools and templates, inter-agency communication, and data management/analysis. Denver HIV Resources Planning Council Denver Transitional Grant Area 2011 HIV Needs Assessment Provide both logistical and research support for primary and secondary data collection. This involves the coordination of focus groups, surveys and Key Informant Interviews, as well as an extensive review of secondary data sources to inform primary data collection efforts. Also responsible for the collection, management and analysis of various data sets pertaining to HIV/AIDS morbidity rates and health related disparities from both the Denver Office of HIV Resources and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
