Biographical Sketch:
1992-present -- Los Angeles County STD Program. Since 2000, coordinated or co-coordinated seven STD prevention social marketing campaigns with combined budgets of over $3.6 million, including four syphilis prevention campaigns ("It's Back, It's Curable," "Shed Some Light on Syphilis," and "Stop the Sores"), two chlamydia and gonorrhea prevention campaigns targeting youth ("I Know" for women of color, and a linked campaign for men and women in partnership with a hip-hop radio station) and promotion of a partner notification website (inSPOTLA.org). Participated in all aspects of campaign development and implementation, including formative research, media design and production, and quantitative evaluation. Participated in organizing the HepTeamLA hepatitis immunization program, including media promotion components. Co-authored successful program proposal for 8-year CDC-funded multi-level STD and pregnancy prevention project for youth. Helped implement first school-based NAAT STD urine testing in L.A. County in 1996 and has conducted STD/HIV prevention and testing outreaches at schools, parks, raves, mobile vans, homeless shelters, needle exchanges, commerical sex venues, and on the street.
