Biographical Sketch:
Health Equity Fellow jointly for NCSD and NASTAD (40hrs/wk) 08/11- present
• Facilitating the development of a survey, which will measure the prevalence and impact of stigma among service providers
• Developing an Optimal Care-Checklist approved by public health practitioners who deliver care to Black and Latino Men who have Sex with Men (MSM)
• Creating Health-promotion materials and fact sheets that can be used by health departments to promote Stigma-free health care.
• Co-authoring an issue brief detailing the findings from the stigma survey, and a policy primer highlighting approaches to reduce stigma within public health practice
• Conducting a series of webinars tailored to key groups regarding stigma, HIV and STDs (e.g., health department HIV/AIDS and STD programs, community stakeholders, and medical providers).
• Submitting Abstracts to the United States STD Prevention Conference in Minneapolis Minnesota
