Oct 2005 - Present. New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, New York, NY, Bureau of STD Control, Research Scientist/Director of Special Projects: - Obtained funding for and oversee NYC high school STD education, screening and treatment program - Write grants for continued federal, state and local funding - Co-PI on SAMHSA grant to oversee our SBIRT program which integrates substance abuse screening, brief intervention and substance abuse treatment referral into STD clinic services - Coordinate infertility prevention activities - Developed policy materials and new legislation for expedited partner therapy (EPT), currently development provider materials for EPT 2002-2005, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta GA, Public Health Prevention Service, Office of Workforce and Career Development, Fellow - Assigned to NYC DOHMH, Bureau of STD Control, Research and Epidemiology Unit for 2 years - responsible for development of survey instruments, IRB documents, conducting research studies, conducting data analysis, manuscript writing, developing protocols and policy materials, grant writing Author or coauthor of more than 2 dozen publications and abstracts relating to sexually transmitted diseases.
