Biographical Sketch:
STD Disparities Coordinator in the Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP) within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He joined the CDC in 1983. His work in public health centers on identifying the social determinants that contribute to STDs and HIV disparities among communities of color, including populations that have been marginalized due to sexual orientation. He has several publications in scientific journals with the most recent publication in the December 2008 issue of the Journal of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. He has served as a consultant and technical advisor for numerous state and local health departments, including a large pharmaceutical company.
