Biographical Sketch:
Supervise a team provides reference diagnostics and laboratory capacity strengthening domestically and internationally for the diagnosis of chlamydia and gonorrhea infections. Research activities are directed to improve the basic understanding of the immunopathologic consequences of these infections and to enhance effective treatment through appropriate drug selection and monitoring for emerging drug resistance.
