Responsible for surveillance of adult and congenital syphilis (CS) in the U.S. (2008-present):
• Led project to update the CS reporting tool in the U.S., including a training webinar attended by 167 people in 31 states (2011–2013)
• Led project to update surveillance case definitions for syphilis. (2012–2013)
• Led project to evaluate and improve reporting of data elements for syphilis (2010-2011)
• Project officer, surveillance for azithromycin-resistant syphilis in the U.S. (2008–2010)
•Supervise Epidemic Intelligence Service officers on outbreak investigations
Author or co-author of 24 scientific publications.
Numerous oral and poster presentations at international and national scientific meetings.
Numerous Commissioned Corps and CDC awards for STD prevention and outbreak-related activities.
