Dr. Barbee's current work focuses on the clinical and public health aspects of the prevention and control of bacterial STIs, with a focus on extra-genital infections, antimicrobial resistant gonorrhea and novel treatments for an era of untreatable gonorrhea. Her previous work includes HIV/STD health education, and HPV testing for cervical cancer prevention strategies in low-resource settings.
