Biographical Sketch:
2008 – 2010: Internal Medicine Residency; University of Washington, Seattle, WA 2010 – 2013: Infectious Diseases Fellowship, University of Washington, Seattle, WA 2013 - present: Acting Instructor, Infectious Disease, University of Washington 2013 - present: Assistant Medical Director, Public Health -- Seattle & King County HIV/STD Program Dr. Barbee's current work focuses on the clinical and public health aspects of the prevention and control of bacterial STIs, with a focus on extra-genital infections, antimicrobial resistant gonorrhea and novel treatments for an era of untreatable gonorrhea. Her previous work includes HIV/STD health education, and HPV testing for cervical cancer prevention strategies in low-resource settings.
