Biographical Sketch:
Bradley P. Stoner, MD, PhD, FIDSA is Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Anthropology, Washington University, St. Louis MO. Dr. Stoner is a specialist in clinical and epidemiological aspects of sexually transmitted infections, and serves as project director of the CDC-funded St. Louis STD/HIV Prevention Training Center. He is currently Vice-President of the American Sexually Transmitted Disease Association (ASTDA). Dr. Stoner’s research focuses upon the social, cultural, and behavioral determinants of risk for sexually transmitted infections, particularly syphilis and chlamydia. He regularly consults with public health officials at local, state, and national levels to promote STD prevention agendas. He is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. Dr Stoner is the Vice President of the American STD Association, an organization of >400 academic and public health STD researchers.
