Biographical Sketch:
2010-Present -- Graduate Research Assistant, SPPH, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC 2010 -- eHealth Monitoring and Evaluation Intern, World Health Organization (WHO), Geneva, Switzerland 2005-2009 -- Epidemiologist, DC Department of Health, Washington, DC 2012-2015 -- Canadian Institutes of Health Research Doctoral Research Award recipient Responsibilities (from 2005-2009) included: redesigning and restructuring the STI/HIV program in DC with a focus on surveillance, prevention, and treatment interventions in a city with the highest disease burden in the United States; developing innovative public health approaches to surveillance activities by creating strategic and project plans that address public health and policy issues affecting STI/HIV disparities; providing ongoing technical assistance and oversight to the CDC’s National HIV Behavioral Surveillance system (NHBS); developing surveillance policies and procedures in accordance with CDC guidelines and in consultation with the Department of Health
