Chief, Field Epidemiology Unit, Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch, Division of STD Prevention, NCHHSTP, CDC. Conduct and coordinate studies to prevent STD, including: Studies of the epidemiology of syphilis, congenital syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV. Studies of the interaction of STDs and HIV. Approaches to treating STD patients and their partners. Evaluation of the impact of screening programs, partner notification, counseling, and condom promotion.
