Biographical Sketch:
April 2012 - present: Sessional academic and guest lecturer – School of Public Health and Social Work, QUT Kelvin Grove, Brisbane Qld. Jan – March 2012: Independent Public Health Research Technical Advisor, Port Vila Vanuatu. November 2011 – March 2012 – Concurrent role – Biological Specimen Collections Manager for the Vanuatu Integrated Bio-Behavioural Survey. An examination of HIV/STI rates and condom use amongst female sex workers and MSM. Sept 2008 - Feb 2012: Co-Investigator and Project Manager – Vanuatu Chlamydia Study, Port Vila Vanuatu. 1012 participants were interviewed and screened for CT and then followed up on two further occasions to determine changes in prevalence, incidence and repeat infection rates. Two different POC rapid tests were also evaluated as a part of this research. 2007 - 2008: Local Research Consultant – AusAID Port Vila, Vanuatu. Recent conference presentations: ASHM Conference Darwin Oct 2013. Presentation of the TTANGO Trial – an update on the implemention of a randomised cross over – Point of Care - study examining CT and NG in twelve remote locations across Australia.
