Biographical Sketch:
Oct, 2013-Present--Jr. Epidemiologist- GDH Consulting, Alabama Medicaid Agency, Quality Analytics Division Work with a team to analyze the quality, cost effectiveness and impact of services provided by Alabama Medicaid, e.g. tele-monitoring.Develop data analysis strategy and perform data analysis using SAS for quality analytics projects assigned to the team.Document protocol and results of research projects assigned to the team in order to communicate and present research findings in the form of reports and presentations.Extract data from Medicaid database and create data tables using SQL. Jul, 2013-Sept, 2013--ORISE Research Fellow, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of STD Prevention Worked with team to develop a research project to identify quality adjusted life years associated with infertility in women with prior STD infections. Conducted extensive literature searches investigating the impact of infertility on quality of life, health related quality of life, and mental health in women using PubMed, and Web of Science. Contributed to the identification of nationwide differences in health insurance coverage. Jan, 2013- Apr, 2013 --Intern, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Community Health, Designed study protocol and methodology for HIV/AIDS research study including data collection and participant eligibility requirements and data analysis strategy.Performed quantitative data analysis (e.g. logistic regression, cox proportional hazards modeling, and survival analysis), data manipulation of HIV/AIDS data using SAS. Conducted literature searches using PubMed, Google Scholar and Web of Science.Developed and edited research study report, charts, graphs and PowerPoint presentations and posters using Microsoft Office products. May, 2012- Aug, 2012--Mentee, Florida Department of Health, Tallahassee, FL Analyzed Florida Brain and Spinal Cord Injury data using SPSS to assess the impact of brain injury in the state.Evaluated the web content of the BSCIP website to ensure ease of navigation and information availability.Edited and evaluated the BSCIP annual report.Updated and edited vital records fetal death codebook for data analysis. Edited the Florida Charts Website User Guide for technical assistance and training.
