1990–1995 – Coordinator, Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Baltimore, MD
Past 25 years: international and domestic maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and infectious diseases. Program development and implementation; policy analysis and development.
Provide policy analysis and development on issues including health reform, EPT, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, comprehensive sex education.
7 years: Helped establish and directed consortium of clinicians, academicians, public health officials, and policy makers, from central Maryland. Mission: to optimize the health of pregnant women and newborn infants through education, advocacy and information sharing.
Directed all public sector Perinatal Hepatitis B prevention activities in Maryland including prenatal screening, neonatal and contact immunization, tracking, monitoring, evaluation.
Oversee LHD STI prevention services in Maryland aimed at Chlamydia and Gonorrhea prevention.
Responsible for development and implementation of provider education and training in all positions held.
Present statewide and local in-service trainings for Health Department clinical and programmatic staff in all health department positions held.
Presentations at national, regional, and statewide conferences.
