2002-Present-- CDC Public Health Advisor- Surveillance Special Projects, Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, STD/HIV Program, New Orleans, LA. 1991-1994--CDC Public Health Advisor-Frontline Supervisor, Texas Department of Health-STD Program, Houston, TX. 1994-2002--CDC Public Health Advisor-Frontline Supervisor and Clinic Manager, Arkansas Department of Health, STD Program, Little Rock, AR. 1989-1991--CDC Disease Intervention Specialist, Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, STD Program, New Orleans, LA. Responsible for providing support and technical consultation and assistance in surveillance and case management activities, evaluation, and assessment to state and regional staff, making strategic contributions to program planning, development, and procedural implementation (2002- Present). Responsible for reviewing disease intervention case reports, field and interview records from DIS staff for completion and accuracy; processing and assigning case reports, assisting with regional surveillance issues, reviewing epidemiological data and evaluation reports (1991-2002) Responsible for conducting interviews of persons diagnosed or suspected of having an STD including HIV/AIDS in order to elicit names and locating information of persons exposed to disease. Identify, locate and refer suspected infected persons to healthcare facilities for testing and treatment (1989-1991).
