Research questions focus on how pathogens evolve and spread through populations, using genomics, mathematical modeling, and epidemiological tools. Specific topics include spread of antibiotic resistant gonorrhea, within-host evolution of RSV under varying immune pressure, mathematical modeling of cholera transmission, and influenza genomics.
Author or coauthor of 18 publications and book chapters on infectious disease genomics, epidemiology, and mathematical modeling, and computational biology.
