Biographical Sketch:
Susan Dreisbach, Ph.D. is Assistant Research Professor in Health and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. She serves as Director of the Center for Prevention and Evaluation Research. Dr. Dreisbach also serves as a co-director of the Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention, a national collaborative effort led by Indiana University. Her research has focused on evaluation of program effectiveness; translation of research into practice; and HIV/AIDS risk behaviors and the context in which they occur among adolescents in urban and suburban settings and among methamphetamine users in rural communities. Recent research has explored the how culture, family, and access to reproductive health services impact sexual behavior and decision-making among Latino youth.
