Biographical Sketch:
Bill Brand has spent nearly 30 years working in public health at the local, state and national level. He currently works at the Public Health Informatics Institute as its Director of Informatics Science. In that role, he is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of programs that both leverage and contribute to informatics developments across the country and globally. Before coming to the Institute, Bill served as Deputy Director of the Center for Health Informatics and the Minnesota e-Health Initiative at the Minnesota Department of Health. He previously worked in immunizations and in community-based chronic disease prevention at the Minnesota Department of Health.
