My research and public health practice work focus on increasing awareness of HIV status and improving access to interventions across the HIV care and prevention continuum. I am responsible for STD surveillance activities for King County and co-lead efforts to evaluate the use of partner services to increase HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis, HIV testing, linkage to care, and retention in HIV care in Washington State. I recently coordinated a randomized, controlled trial of home self-testing for HIV infection among men who have sex with men and am working with mathematical modelers to identify optimal HIV self-testing strategies in this population.
