Biographical Sketch:
2000-present – Statistician in the Centre for Sexual Health and HIV Research in the Research Department of Infection and Population Health at University College London, London, UK. Initially employed as a Research Assistant in 2000 and promoted through Research Fellow (2002), Senior Research Fellow (2005), Lecturer (2008), to Senior Lecturer (2009). Secured >£17M (>US$28M) since 2006 in external grant funding, including from the Wellcome Trust, the UK Medical Research Council, and the UK’s National Institute for Health Research. Secured funding for, and since 2008 has co-led Britain’s third National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (‘Natsal-3’), a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration. Author/co-author of >100 peer-reviewed publications covering various aspects of sexual and reproductive health, including of note the publication of a series of six papers from Natsal-3 as a themed edition of the Lancet in November 2013 (www.thelancet.com/themed/natsal). Associate Editor for the BMJ journal Sexually Transmitted Infections.
