Biographical Sketch:
Recipient of $40,000 R36 Dissertation Research Grant awarded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The study explores utility of electronic personal health record services as HIV/STD risk-reduction discussion tools among young Black adults. “Let Me See Your App!”: Exploring Digital Tools for Improving Partner Communication on HIV/STI Prevention (oral). National HIV Prevention Conference (NHPC), Atlanta, GA (December 2015). 2008-2011 -- Public Health Associate, CDC, Public Health Associate Program, Atlanta, GA (Assignment in Miami, FL) Operated in multiple capacities during one-year rotations through Miami-Dade County Health Department's (MDCHD) STD, Tuberculosis and Epidemiology & Disease Control Programs (2008-2011). Investigated reported cases of Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV and Syphilis infections in compliance with federal, state, and local procedures and protocol (2008-2009). Conducted program analysis on the 13% of TB cases reported to MDCHD in 2008 and 2009 that were not offered an HIV test upon beginning treatment and provided technical recommendations (2009-2010). Responsible for analyzing Miami-Dade County (MDC) Ryan White and HIV/AIDS Surveillance data to describe characteristics of Haitians with HIV in MDC (2010-2011).
