Medical Officer, CDC, Division of Foodborne, Waterborne and Environmental Diseases, 2005 - present Epidemic Intelligence Officer, CDC, Foodborne and Diarrheal Diseases Branch, 2003 - 2005 Pediatrician, ThedaCare Pediatrics, 2001 - 2003 CDC subject matter expert for shigellosis, Cronobacter, and handwashing; responsible for outbreak response, prevention, and other technical assistance to state, local, and international public health officials related to these topics. Responsible for designing, implementing, analyzing, and reporting studies of diarrhea prevention methods in the developing world, such as handwashing and drinking water treatment. Author or co-author of >40 scientific manuscripts and text chapters related to diarrheal disease. Received numerous awards related to diarrheal disease prevention and control. Delivered many presentations at scientific meetings.
