Biographical Sketch:
Lucy Baglin is the State Policy Associate for the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) where she works to provide policy training to NCSD members, support NCSD members and their state-based partners’ efforts to educate elected officials about matters relating to STD and sexual health policy, and communicate directly with the general public on sexual health issues. Lucy heads up NCSD's state policy work in the Midwest and Northeast regions, and all U.S. territories.
Prior to joining NCSD, she was a Policy Manager for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) where she led state mobilization efforts to enhance grassroots support for HIV/AIDS and sexual health related policy issues. She also worked with state and national partners to implement Medicaid expansion and key non-discriminatory provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Illinois.
