Biographical Sketch:
2006-present -- Graduate Student Instructor, The University of Memphis, Department of Psychology, Memphis, TN 2012-2014 -- Project Assistant on a Grant for Substance Use Prevention Services for Vulnerable Youth, The University of Memphis and Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps, Memphis, TN 2009-2013 -- Project Assistant on SAMHSA-funded Campus Suicide Prevention Grant, The University of Memphis, Memphis, TN 2009-2012 -- Project Assistant on TN Dept of Health Grant to Reduce the Risk of HIV and other STIs Among Job Corps' Students, The University of Memphis and Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps, Memphis, TN Developed and implemented sexual risk reduction interventions and training materials for peer facilitators and trainers (2009-present). Facilitated numerous local and state trainings and presentations to address lowering sexual risk among adolescents and young adults. Consulted on grants to reduce sexual risk among at-risk populations. Awarded the American Psychological Foundation's 2016 Henry P. David Grant for Research in Human Reproductive Behavior and Population Studies for my research on the Condom Carnival, a sexual risk reduction intervention. Presented posters on sexual risk reduction at scientific meetings.
