Biographical Sketch:
December 2008 – Present -- Program Manager, Infectious Disease Practice and Prevention Programs, Rutgers University, New Jersey Medical School, Newark, New Jersey Oversees the practice of nursing as well as non-clinical practice across all clinical settings and the alignment of nursing/clinical care across the system through appropriate standardization, use of evidence based practice, and reduction of variation in practice. Prepares grant applications for Ryan White, HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN), National Institutes of Health, and New Jersey Department of Health Member of HPTN Community Working Group since 2008 2008 – Present – Site Coordinator, HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) Clinical Studies Responsible for the oversight of all aspects of HIV service programs supported by extramural funds and the HPTN. Responsible for implementation and compliance of HPTN prevention studies. Responsible for community engagement and fostering collaborative partnerships with community based organizations and stakeholders. March 2000 – November 2008 -- Practice Manager (promoted from Assistant Nurse Manager 2003) -UMDNJ, University Hospital-Infectious Disease Practice and Neuroscience Practice Past positions held during this time: Practice Manager for Medical Subspecialties, UMD Care, and Acting Administrative Director of Ob/Gyn Clinic. Coauthored 5 abstracts and 3 presentations - HPTN (3 abstracts) o 1 chosen for an oral presentation at the 38th National Black Nurses Association (2010). This presentation focused on how Black health professionals in particular can contribute to the HPTN's domestic research agenda. o 2 posters primarily focused on the HPTN 064 study at the International AIDS Conference. - Ryan White Conference o 2 posters-- primarily focusing on HIV mental health and substance abuse and implementation of electronic systems in HIV Care; o 1 oral presentation on Patient Centered Medical Home- 2012 - Presenter for the Newark Emergency Metropolitan Area on Prior Authorizations in an ACA World- 2014 - Presenter for the Legacy Project on Strategies and Best Practices for Recruitment and Retention of Cisgender & Transgender Women in HIV Clinical Trials- 2015
