Viral Hepatitis: Stigmatization of adults and children

Learning Objective:

The presentation by Mr.Remak outlines the causes of stigma, the effects on the community and how it affects the provider and access to services or treatment, discrimination at work for the consumer. Several actual case histories will be examined from across the United States that were submitted by patients seeking assistance. By the conclusion of his presentation, the participants will be able to identify the major signs that impede progress, prevent abuses and advocate for their clients. The role that places the humanitarian above other considerations allows community partnerships to flourish while general public awareness reaches the lay community.

The information compiled was accumulated over several years of appeals for assistance.

The condition described is of general consequence throughout the United States.

This applied to children, stay at home moms, professional persons and civil service employees. All ethnicities.



Project Description:

A social condition resulting from misconceptions based on ignorance of the general population and misleading press media.

How to identify and prevent insensitive attitudes.
