This workshop will highlight program models that have proven successful in providing culturally competent viral hepatitis services to communities of color. Specific programs designed for Hispanic/Latinos, African Americans, and Asian Pacific Islanders will be presented and discussed. | |||
Learning Objectives: C. Identify specific intervention strategies that address the viral hepatitis prevention needs of individuals in groups with health disparities including, but not limited to, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, American Indians/Alaska Natives, and African-Americans.
E. Identify and access communication, education, and training needs and available resources for viral hepatitis prevention and control; evaluate the effectiveness of education and training methods.
