Objective: To promote diabetes awareness and delivering diabetes education messages, interventions, and products to Cambodian Americans who are at high risk or living with diabetes using culturally effective community-based approaches that increase and improve health utilization services.

Methods: To promote diabetes awareness and education, community health workers completed a web-based survey instrument (survey monkey). Generally this instrument asked about the purpose of the call, type of videoconferencing, and overall satisfaction.

Results:The project staff and participants took part in 106 videoconferences over the course of the year. Fifty eight percent was multi-point and 42% was point-to-point videoconferencing. The five sites rated videoconferencing quality to be good to excellent 70% of the time while audio quality was rated at 60% good to excellent.

Conclusion: This technology can assist other programs to manage and measure community-based public health initiatives.
