Carolyn A. Parry, Ohio Department of Health, Immunization Program, CDC/NIP, 35 E Chestnut Street, 7th Floor, Columbus, OH, USA and Nathan E. Crawford, Immunizations, Oregon Dept of Human Services, 800 NE Oregon St, Portland, OR, USA.

KEYWORDS:
AFIX, CASA

BACKGROUND:
AFIX Coordinators from the various immunization projects do not have the opportunity to meet face-to-face to discuss topics pertinent to implementing AFIX. Therefore, we would like a session at the National Immunization Conference that would have a loose agenda and be facilitated by the authors to allow for discussion of pertinent topics by those implementing AFIX.

OBJECTIVE(S):
To bring together those who are working to implement AFIX to discuss pertinent issues to assist projects in resolving issues and answering questions that would lead to improving AFIX programs.

METHOD(S):
The authors would send notice of the session to the AFIX Coordinators using the AFIX listserve and the CDC AFIX staff’s AFIX Coordinators list. The authors would ask for general topics of discussion. The authors would establish the agenda and facilitate the workshop.

RESULT(S):

CONCLUSIONS(S):
This workshop session would be a great opportunity for AFIX Coordinators to exchange ideas and learn about what other projects are doing.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Identify new ideas to use in an AFIX program. Identify opportunities to network with other AFIX staff.
