B11: Points of Contact — Statewide to Local Strategies for Adolescents and Children

Presenters will discuss various approaches in increasing immunization awareness and rates in their communities. Utilizing private, public, non profit, and media conduits to deliver messages in efforts to educate parents, the panelist will discuss their successes and challenges of their programs which targeted children, adolescents and underserved audiences from local communities to statewide campaigns.
Learning Objectives: Participants in this workshop will be able to 1) Describe the barriers and opportunities of public, private and ongoing social service program collaboration; 2) Learn the importance of partnering for successful health programs; 3) Recognize the need for maintaining immunization levels from childhood through adolescence; and 4) Identify valuable community partners and non-conventional funding sources in the local community.
