BACKGROUND:
This session will provide a comprehensive course on vaccine safety. Join us for an interesting and informative presentation and bring your vaccine safety questions.

OBJECTIVE:
The course will cover practical information for health care providers and public health workers. Specific topics that will be discussed include: vaccine administration and management issues including contraindications and precautions; federal vaccine licensure and safety surveillance activities; current vaccine safety topics in the news; vaccine risk communication principles and their application and vaccine safety resources. A question and answer session will also be included. The course is meant to be a concurrent session 90 minutes in length.
