P2: Providers speak up

This panel discussion will highlight the accomplishments and challenges facing health care providers in providing preconception health care. We have asked representatives from medical society organizations who reflect actual clinician practice patterns, to provide an opening statement relative to their health care groups. Then we will have an interactive session with an open dialogue that reflects on progress since the first summit. Particular topics of interest include: has your specialty made progress in engaging members in preconception health care at the national level? What are the barriers to developing an integrated approach to preconception health care? For the individual clinician, what steps need to happen? Are there any examples of success for comparable health care goals and how were they achieved? Can we learn from successes in other fields and apply them to Preconception Health Care?
