This session will be a demonstration two innovations in public health. The first demonstration lead participants through the process from when a patient presents to a clinic with symptoms to how a public health alert is matched to the patient’s symptoms and presented within the patient’s EMR at the point of care. The second demonstration will exhibit a computer management system developed by a local health department which includes an open-source computerized scheduling system, client demographics and billing, and a forms-driven Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
