Evaluating Vaccine Uptake and Safety Using Immunization Information Systems and VAERS

An overview of immunization assessment tools utilized by the CDC to monitor HPV vaccination coverage and its outcomes will be presented. Use of data from the teen module of the National Immunization Survey and immunization information systems (IIS) to assess vaccination coverage will be discussed. Use of data from the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) project and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) for tracking vaccination-related adverse events through will be discussed.
