Using 682,170 total records from Family Planning (FP) and STD IPP clinics (2003-2008), we analyzed chlamydia test results of females indicating “re-screening” as visit reason. Annual re-screening coverage was estimated as: number re-screened divided by number of positive chlamydia tests from other visit types. FP had 9,264 re-screening visits, while STD had 1,340; annual re-screening coverage was estimated to be 28±1.5% in FP clinics and 34±4.8% in STD clinics. Percent re-infected was 11.0% in FP and 10.5% STD, which exceeded positivity at other (non-rescreening) visits (5.2% FP; 7.5% STD). Discussion will address definitions of re-screening and implications for possible interventions.
