The Region II IPP utilized electronic laboratory data to measure chlamydia retesting and positivity among females in relation to CDC guidelines, employing methodology piloted in 2007 and repeated in 2008 with additional FP and STD clinic sites. We analyzed the elapsed time between the baseline positive chlamydia test (CY2006) and next chlamydia test (within 12 months), and the positivity rate by age group. Results indicated 28% (1,896/6,697) of females were retested within 75-365 days (FP: 29%, STD: 22%); 13.6% (256/1,622) tested positive. Retesting rates and repeat positivity were highest among females aged 15-19 years, and females retested after 99 days.
