We will discuss the epidemiological and behavioral data that served as the impetus for GYT, and share some of the consumer research that informed this campaign. This presentation will describe the social marketing approach used, engaging all four elements of the marketing mix to promote STD testing and normalize sexual health discussions. Challenges and victories encountered in its implementation and during the partnership process will be discussed, from CDC's perspective.
