The Safety Net System and Implementation of the Affordable Care Act

This section of the presentation will include an explanation of different program and service requirements

among Title X clinics, RHCs, and FQHCs. A recent study from the George Washington University Health

Policy Department showed that newly insured patients continue to receive care from safety net providers,

and this study will form the basis of a discussion about the continued need for the safety net in the face of

health care reform.
