Analysis and interpretation of GC surveillance data allows STD programs to understand the determinants and distribution of disease in the communities they serve.  Such understanding can identify vulnerable populations and give public health officials information necessary to effectively allocate resources for maximum impact.  This discussion will provide examples of how select health departments collect and analyze GC surveillance data and use it to guide resources and promote prevention activities to serve the most heavily impacted communities. Several examples of targeted interventions will be discussed including: enhanced screening, partner services, access to care, primary prevention and engaging communities.
